Candidate Profile:
Eva Leconte is the mother of Jonah, a current 3rd-grader at MIS, and two alumni of MIS! Noah graduated in 2017 from MIS and Ezra graduated shortly thereafter in 2019.
Eva has a dual German / US background. She has lived and worked in Europe, Asia, US, Latin America, and Oceania.

Eva’s deep Human Resources leadership and intercultural expertise is rooted in transforming global organizations. Her passion is fostering learning and individual growth at all organizational levels. She has a special focus on mentoring career-starters and coaching future leaders.
Since 2023, Eva has held the title of Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources at Adtran, Inc. “I have been leading the worldwide people & culture function, driving workforce integration & business transformation in a post-merger scenario of a US / German tech company with over 3,300 employees in 30 countries. I am also an active leadership mentor and practicing licensed executive coach.”
In 2021, Eva was honored with the German Human Resources Excellence Award for pandemic crisis communications.
Her prior work experience relevant to her Board of Director candidacy includes:
- Chief Human Resources Officer, BayWa AG, Munich, 2017-2023.
- I led the global people practice for the BayWa Group with over 23,000 employees in 50 countries. I headed the global pandemic task force, negotiated 4 tariff agreements with the ver.di union, and managed strategic global workforce programs during periods of rapid growth and change.
- Head of Global Human Resources, KraussMaffei Group, Munich, 2013 – 2017
- I led the global HR function and drove organizational, functional, and structural changes to support business strategy in 15 countries. Sourced and hired 40% new talent at top global leadership level, designed and implemented a digitized global HR/IT operating model and led HR due diligence / post-merger integration for divestment and M+A activities. Led IG Metall Union and Works Council relations and negotiations.
- Human Resources leadership positions at Siegwerk Druckfarben AG (2009-2013), Molex Inc. (1998-2008), and Delphi Automotive Systems (1994-1997).
- I started my career as a Human Resources Generalist at Radio Free Europe in Munich in 1989.
