Take the Lead
The Student Life Programme comprises three sections: Athletics, Arts, and After-School Activities. After-School Activities range from Pop-Up Art to Forest Explorers via Dungeons & Dragons and Cooking Club - and anything in between - including a number of teams who enter competitions such as Speech & Debate or Lego Challenge League. With over 100 activities offered each school year, you are in control! To give you an example of activities offered, check out this current list of After School Activities for Middle & Senior School students!
Conquer The Challenge
Join Team RoboCats for the next round of FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge. There are three co-curricular LEGO® robotics teams at MIS. The 1st-4th-graders used the LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 robotics kit. 5th-8th graders do the LEGO® Challenge, and 9th-12th graders participate in FIRST® LEGO® League.
Master The Cube
The Rubik's Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle originally invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. About to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Rubik’s Cube might be more popular than ever before, and it's certainly a big deal at MIS.
Explore Our Campus Wonderland
This activity is all about exploring MIS's ecosystems and forested landscapes. Climb trees, see how many mushroom species you can find, make a fort, collect rocks, track a fox, or create your own adventure.
Zen Out
After a dynamic and stimulating day of school, yoga gives young learners a chance to calm down and regain control of their minds, bodies, and spirits.
Sew It Up
Many different ASAs are available to develop skills and learn how to sew by hand and machine, to crochet, or even to quilt!
Feel The Breeze
Swimming, sailing, and rowing are all accessible after school activities, taking advantage of our proximity to Lake Starnberg, the second largest lake in Bavaria.
Eat Up
MIS boasts a fully-equipped kitchen classroom where students learn food science, design their own recipes, and enjoy their creations.
Be Spontaneous
Practicing improvisational theatre comes with many benefits, including higher self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and improved communication & listening skills.
Bring Visions to Life
Multiple activities each year allow students to explore different art mediums, including drawing & illustration, painting, graphic design, pop-up art, and more!
